A few words from Dr. Cocchiola

The Coercive Control Professionals Training is a comprehensive LIVE educational training to support allies in becoming coercive control trauma-informed interventionists.
Clinicians earn 12 ASWB approved CE's: WED & FRI 10 am to 5 pm EDT. This training is vital to becoming an informed Guardian Ad Litem or custody evaluator in your state. This training is an important prerequisite to becoming an Expert Witness via training with Lisa Fontes, PhD.
Protective parents need informed clinicians, attorneys, and divorce coaches, and advocates who can support them as they navigate escaping a coercively controlling [abusive] relationship and parenting a child who may be going between the home of the coercive controller and their own home.
I am a licensed clinical social worker and coercive control expert and a trauma-trained clinician. For my Doctorate in Clinical Social Welfare, I researched the experiences of adult and child victims of coercive control. I am a full-time college professor teaching social work and specifically educating on the topic of domestic abuse and sexual assault for over 20 years and have been a social justice advocate in the prevention of child abuse since the age of 19. Most importantly, I am a survivor and a protective parent.
Education is my #1 priority. Education will prevent future generations from suffering the same trauma. I have created programming around topics related to trauma and abuse for over 25 years. I believe ALLIES - such as yourself - have so much to offer to our clients and that having the specific knowledge related to coercive control will enhance our ability to support our clients suffering the greatest injustices to families.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out via email to admin@drcocchiola.com.
In Hope & Solidarity,
Dr. C.
